ABOUT US

Investigative Resources was started in 2001 by veteran Private Investigator Tim Petersdorff who had been licensed in Wisconsin since 1990 as well as Iowa, Illinois and Indiana. In 2008, Tim Petersdorff was featured in the September Milwaukee Magazine article "S is for Stakeout".  Tim was involved with the Professional Association of Wisconsin Private Investigators for 12 years and served 4 years on the Board of Directors with this association. He was dedicated to creating a private detective agency that provides personalized professional services to assist lawyers, legal professionals, insurance companies and individuals with civil and criminal cases or situations in the State of Wisconsin.  We are locally owned with an intimate knowledge of Milwaukee, Southeastern Wisconsin and the entire Badger State. Investigative Resources has been created around the principles of personalization, honesty, timeliness, professionalism, and affordability.

Our goal is to exceed the expectations of our clients.

OUR VISION

Investigative Resource's vision is a dedication to Personalization and Professionalism. The private detectives at Investigative Resources hold integrity and customer care in the highest regard. From the moment we receive the call, through the process conducting our investigation, we maintain ethical standards for each and every task. We make sure our clients’ documents and reports are properly prepared, maintain contact about status updates, and provide proof of service to all necessary parties by mail, email, or fax.

THE INVESTIGATORS

The investigators at Investigative Resources have accumulated years of training and experience which allows us to recognize where any errors or omissions have occurred or to indicate that all proper procedures were adhered to during an investigation. Rest assured that the investigator that is assigned your case will be a seasoned professional with decades of experience in the field in the type of investigation required.

We as Private Investigators fill one of the most important roles of the legal team.  For instance, in a criminal investigation the investigator’s job is to verify and validate all that has been done by the investigating police department in a defense case.   The investigators have to talk to each witness and to review and verify all evidence, physical, verbal, video, etc., that will be used by the prosecution and interview all witnesses identified by the defense team.  This would include all independent witnesses developed during the investigation.  We as Investigators review all cases to determine whether a written statement should be taken, a tape-recorded statement, a videotaped statement, or even a verbal report to the attorney at the time of the interview.
